Use this free Google Ads preview tool to draft a responsive search ad before adding it to your campaign. You can check character limits, review different combinations and copy your finished advert into Google Ads.
1. Add Your Final URL and Display Paths
Enter the landing page people should visit after clicking your advert. You can also add optional display paths to make the URL more descriptive and relevant to the search.
2. Write Your Headlines
Add several varied headlines covering your service, main benefit, location, offer and call to action. Each Google Ads headline can contain up to 30 characters.
Google can combine different headlines when your advert appears, so make sure each one works independently and alongside the others.
3. Add Your Descriptions
Use the description fields to explain what makes your offer useful and what the searcher should do next. Each description can contain up to 90 characters.
Try to include a clear benefit, something that differentiates your business and a direct call to action.
4. Preview and Copy Your Advert
Switch between desktop and mobile views to see how your advert could appear on different devices.
Use the shuffle button to test alternative headline and description combinations. Once you are happy with the advert, copy the complete draft and add it to Google Ads.
